Grooming

This question about pheromone safety came to mind early on in my search for a quality pheromone cologne product. I had heard so much about these new sexual attractants and how great they were for breaking the ice in meeting someone new. Could this really be true? Is this at all possible? What facts is all this based on? I thought how great it was that they finally invented a real love potion. But, me being a skeptic I had to do my research. Being that mostly all of these products were sold on the internet made me a little skeptical. After my initial investigation about whether they can be effective and are worth giving a try.

I had to look deeply into the resources that were supplying these so called facts. Where they got them from and whether they were just self serving for the individual colognes that they seemed to represent. As 95% of the information available on the internet on Pheromones, is from the Pheromone suppliers themselves and you know THEY will have nothing bad to say about their own products, I was still skeptical. So I found other sources (Science Daily, Journal of Physiology, Ehow) for my information that was not biased towards Pheromone products. I researched the Pheromone chemicals themselves…androstenone, androstenol, androsterone, androst and androstadienone.

These Chemical replications are made in a lab. Most come from China or Europe. Some are derived from Boar and Pig saliva. They are neuro-steroids derived from the testosterone metabolism. I found out that all androgens, including androsterone, can cause increased blood pressure, increased cholesterol, increased blood glucose levels and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Additionally, androsterone can lead to acne, infertility, hair loss and shrinking of the testicles in men. This is why THEY ARE NOT APPROVED FOR USE IN COLOGNES OR COSMETICS BY THE FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or the IFRA (International Fragrance Association). They can be absorbed by the blood through application on the skin.

Another question was raised in my mind. Are they using the same chemicals for men’s colognes as for women’s cologne? How could that work? Andro and steroids in the women’s fragrances too? Most of the internet suppliers get around these issues selling these products because they are made overseas outside of the control of U.S. regulations. So until they get banned they can continue to sell them. There are a few Pheromone fragrance providers that make their products in the U.S. and conform to FDA and IFRA standards and derive their Pheromone scents from approved fragrances rather than using potentially harmful “Andro” based chemicals.

Many bloggers have reviewed these products as both safe and effective for attracting a partner. Their reviews were honest and sincere and their claims were that these pheromone products worked very well for them. The safe and effective ones are the one I chose to use. I too, am now a converted skeptic of pheromones and I have been using them for more than a year now. I get attention in social situations that I never got before. It works, and my confidence has soared because of it. I recommend it to all my friends and suggest everyone try the safe ones. They even can help a failing married couple’s love life.
