Ford’s most powerful roadgoing ride has been tapped for the same type of Heritage Edition treatment seen on the outgoing Ford GT.
The 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby Heritage Edition arrives in Brittany Blue, inspired by the colors of the original 1967 GT500 per Car and Driver. The classic blue base coat paired with either Wimbledon White or Absolute Black racing stripes in paint for $10,000 or vinyl as standard.
Ford’s superlative supercharged 5.2-liter V8 cranks out 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. That’s enough output for a 3.4-second 60-mph sprint and an 11.3-second quarter mile at 132 mph, according to C&D’s independent testing,
Priced at $76,800 above a $72,900 base, the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition is available to purchase beginning November 15.
