Luminox makes rugged watches for those who want an indestructible timepiece, be it Bear Grylls, Navy SEALs, or other adventurous types. But that mission doesn’t preclude the Swiss watchmaker from injecting its designs with a stylish golden flair from time to time.
To that end, the Pacific Diver 3120 is getting a limited-edition colorway that’ll be familiar to fans of the brand’s black and gold Navy SEAL 3500. Drawing specifically on the precious metal hue that makes the special forces’ trident insignia stand out, Luminox plated the hands, crown, uni-directional turning bezel, and its own shield logo in gold.
The hue contrasts brilliantly against both the blackout dial, 44mm Carbonox case, and black rubber strap, which can also be ordered with a black ion-plated stainless steel buckle.
While the gold adds a flash of elegance, the Pacific Diver 3120’s rugged features are still retained. Chief among them are 660 feet of water resistance, 50 months of battery life, and Luminox Light Technology, which utilizes micro gas light tubes to ensure the time is readable in any condition for 25 years. As the caseback’s engraving states, “Every Second Counts.”
Limited to 1,111 examples, the Luminox Pacific Diver 3120 Gold is available to purchase for $655 online now.
