The touchdown-delivering duo that was Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski ended when Brady officially retired on Feb. 1. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ star tight end will likely stay for at least another season, and he says his dream QB to play with is Super Bowl-bound Joe Burrow.

During a Q&A with Autograph NFTs promoting his “Super Gronk Collection,” Gronkowski said that he’s a huge fan of the bold Cincinnati Bengals quarterback.

“I kinda like this young buck quarterback. He’s in the Super Bowl now: It’s Joe Burrow, man,” Gronkowski said Tuesday, per Fox News.

“I watched him in college. I just love the way he presents himself out on the football field. In the pocket, he’s just so calm, and he just slings it out on the field.”

Burrow’s Bengals posted a 10-7 record to make the playoffs before ultimately taking the AFC Conference Championship and securing their place in Super Bowl LVI opposite the Los Angeles Rams.

Burrow threw for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in the regular season. But insane stats aren’t the only thing that’s got Gronk’s attention.

“I just love his swag, too,” he added. “If I had to pick a quarterback it’d be the young buck, Joe Burrow. He’s killing it right now in the game.”

It’s not hard to find examples of said swag. A new viral video captured during the the Bengals’ battle with the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC title illustrates Burrow’s unflinching confidence.

Down 8 points with seconds left in the third quarter, Burrow simply told his team, “When we score, we’re going for two.”

Sure enough, he found Ja’Marr Chase for a TD and Trent Taylor for the two-point conversion, just like he’d called in the huddle.

The Bengals went on to upset the Chiefs in overtime, and Burrow showed up to the post-game presser dripping with bling and donning black turtleneck to unmistakably channel The Rock’s iconic mid-’90s outfit.

Burrow also told Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks that he could walk into the NBA and score 12-15 points per game, a claim that’s lent some credence by viral footage of him clinching a free-throw shooting challenge in college.

A Burrow-Gronk power duo could come to fruition. The All-Pro Buc will become an unrestricted free agent in March, and Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah is also expected to become a free agent after the Super Bowl.

We’ll see what happens in the off-season.
